Children's Concerts

The mission of the Kingsville Symphony Orchestra is to introduce the orchestra to the youth of South Texas and to improve the quality of life in Kingsville and its surrounding communities. As part of this mission, the KSO performs a free Children Concert each year for area students from grades 3 to 5.

Public, private, and home school teachers are encouraged to contact elizabeth.janzen@tamuk.edu for information about scheduling reservations for your classes.  

Children's Carnegie Hall Link Up

The KSO was the first orchestra in South Texas to partner with the Carnegie Hall Foundation by hosting the Link Up Outreach Program. In this program, children get to participate in an interactive concert by playing or singing along during the concert. Third through fifth graders play on their recorders with the orchestra! 

Through these partnerships, the B.C. Addie Brookshire Foundation, Carnegie Hall, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and the Kingsville Symphony Orchestra have aimed to support existing music education programs, strengthen partnerships with local schools and provide the highest quality curricula, resources, professional development, and programming.
